The comeback of trading cards.

Anthony Edwards, a rookie for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2020 season, was one of the promising rookies whose card saw a rise in popularity.

Collecting sports cards might seem like an old man’s game, but the trading card hobby has seen a huge resurgence in recent years, inspiring a new generation of collectors.

With the turbulence of 2020, many sought comfort in the nostalgia of sports storytelling. Families at home together bonded over old collections their parents and grandparents forgot they even had. Younger fans are also growing the community by introducing things like live streaming breaks and using online resellers to find cards they can’t get locally. It’s an exciting time for the hobby - and a great time to sell. Whether your collection includes basketball cards, baseball cards, graded or pre-graded cards, unopened packs, hockey cards, or football cards, you’d be wise to think about cashing in. Interest peaks and wanes in any industry, so it’s always a good idea to take advantage of a trend, especially one as dramatic as we’ve seen with sports cards recently.
